The Managing Director of the Muslim Television Ahmadiyya International, Maulana Munir ud Din Shams sahib, the Director MTA Africa Studios respected Umar Safir sahib with respected Amir sahib Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria and other important personalities paid a courtesy visit to the Olomu of Ajiran, Oba T. A. Akinloye, Shateru II atbhia palace. During the visit, the Amir sahib referenced a past incident involving a dispute of Jama’at’s land. He recounted that when the case was brought before the Olomu, he delivered a fair and just ruling that was well received by all parties involved.

On February 10, 2025, a high-level delegation from MTA International and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria paid a courtesy visit to the former Amir (National President) of the Jama’at in Nigeria, Alhaji (Engr.) Hussein Taiwo Sumonu, at his residence. The distinguished delegation included Maulana Munir ud Din Shams, Managing Director of MTA International; Mr. Umar Safir, Director of MTA Africa; Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso AbdulAzeez, the current Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria; and Dr. Qasim Akinreti, Coordinator of MTA Nigeria Studios. The visit served as a gesture of love and appreciation for Alhaji Sumonu’s invaluable contributions to the Jama’at and the progress of Islam in Nigeria. Also Present were the Lagos Island Circuit President, Circuit Missionary, Jama’at Presidents and other respected members of the Jama’at.

During the discussion, the MD of MTA International thanked TVC News for their warm reception and shared insights about Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA). He highlighted that about 99% of MTA’s workforce consists of volunteers from various professional backgrounds who work without pay. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing between MTA and TVC. The Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria spoke about the organization’s dedication to promoting peace. He mentioned that the Global Leader of the Ahmadiyya Community has delivered numerous lectures on world peace and non-violence. He encouraged TVC to continue using its platform to spread messages of peace across the country. In response, Mrs. Victoria Abiola Ajayi commended MTA’s efforts and assured them that TVC is open to future collaborations to strengthen their relationship. The meeting ended with the MD of MTA International presenting gifts to Mrs. Victoria Abiola Ajayi and the TVC board members. Afterward, Mr..Ibraheem Shitta led the MTA delegation on a brief tour of TVC’s facilities.

AMIR AHMADIYYA MUSLIM JAMAAT NIGERIA VISITS PRESIDENTIAL REPRESENTATIVE, EXPRESSES APPRECIATION FOR 2024 JALSA SALANA

The Amir (National President) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria, Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso AbdulAzeez, led a delegation to visit Hon. Idris Ajimobi, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Livestock Development, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The visitation took place in the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Abuja and was an appreciation for his representation of the President at the recently concluded 2024 annual Jalsa Salana Conference. The Amir was accompanied by notable members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, including Dr. AbdulGaniy Enahoro (former Naib Amir for the Eastern Region), Alhaji Ahmed Sanusi (Circuit President, Abuja), Maulvi Nasir-Ahmad Mahmood ( Central Missionary, Abuja), Brother Muhammad Abdulkareem, and Dr. AbdulAzeez Ambaliu (President, Fazl Omar Sports Foundation, Nigeria). During the meeting, the Amir expressed his profound gratitude to Hon. Idris Ajimobi for attending the Jalsa Salana as the President’s representative, commending the depth of his knowledge and the substance of his address at the event. This significant visit was part of the Amir’s condolence visit to the family of Alhaji Muhammad Mahmud Maishanu, who meritoriously served as the Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria from 1998 to 2004. Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Urges Nigerians to Pray for the Nation and Trust in Allah

The Amir sahib, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alh. Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez sahib, has called on Nigerians to fervently pray for the nation and place their trust in Allah the Almighty during a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Yakubu II, Ejeh of Ankpa; Chairman Ankpa Traditional Council/vice Chairman Igala Area Traditional Council, Coordinator North Central Traditional Rulers. The visit took place at the royal father’s residence in Abuja, where the Amir sahib led a delegation comprising key members of the Jama’at. During the visit, the Amir sahib extended a formal invitation to His Royal Highness to attend the 70th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, scheduled to hold in Ilaro, Ogun State. He expressed appreciation for the royal father’s steadfastness and commitment to upholding the true principles of Islam as espoused by the Jama’at. In his remarks, Amir sahib emphasized the importance of gratitude to Allah, unity, peace, and collective prayers for the progress of the nation. He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and rely on Allah’s guidance during challenging times. In response, His Royal Highness graciously accepted the invitation to the Jalsa Salana and extended a reciprocal invitation to the Amir to visit the Ankpa Kingdom. The Amir expressed his also happily accepted the invitation, further strengthening ties between the Jama’at and the traditional institution. His Royal Highness expressed his wishes that Nigerians pray for leaders to succeed rather than cursing the leaders which has ripple effects on all.
