Amir Ahmadiyya Nigeria Visits Masroor International Technical College (MITC), Reviews Progress with Management

The Respected Amir Sahib (RAS), Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria, Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, today paid a working visit to the Masroor International Technical College (MITC), Ilaro, Ogun State, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain and further improve the standards and quality of the institution. During the visit, the RAS inspected the hostel facilities to assess the condition and overall well-being of the students. He thereafter held a progress review meeting with the school’s management team. In his remarks, the RAS urged the team to remain diligent in their respective roles, noting that their dedication is crucial to the continued growth and success of the institution. He emphasized that the focus must remain on the quality of students with practical impact where students upon graduation will be job creators and not job seekers. He further advised that individual student assessments be regularly conducted to monitor performance and ensure academic and vocational excellence. The RAS also called on the IAAAE team to be swift in addressing all matters of concern relating to the institution, particularly in areas that directly affect students’ learning outcomes and welfare. In his response, Engr. Abdul Waheed Adeoye, Chairman of the Board of Management, expressed appreciation to the Respected Amir Sahib for his consistent support and concern for the institution. He reported that they are working around the clock to ensure total quality in the school, citing that teachers from MITC were recently required to undertake the Compulsory Quality Assurance Assessment (QAA) Test, which they successfully passed to the glory of Allah. He added that the management is equally working towards enhancing students’ productivity to ensure they graduate with the necessary skills to remain relevant and productive in society. The Respected Amir Sahib reiterated the importance of quality assurance and assured the management that other outstanding matters raised during the meeting will be duly considered at the earliest. In the entourage of the Respected Amir Sahib are the former Amir, Professor Mashhud Adenrele Fashola, the General Secretary, Com. Ayelagbe Jabar, AGS Protocol while the team was warmly received by the MITC management Board members led by its Chairman, Engr. Abdul Waheed Adeoye Sahib.

Amir Ahmadiyya Nigeria Attends Graduation Ceremony of Madrasatut Tahfidhil Qur’an (Jamia Ahmadiyya)

The Respected Amir Sahib (RAS), Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, today graced the graduation ceremony of 28 new Huffaaz (memorizers of the Holy Qur’an) at the Madrasatut Tahfidhil Qur’an, Jamia Ahmadiyya, Ilaro, Ogun State. The ceremony, which marked another milestone in the Jama’at’s Qur’anic educational mission, was chaired by the RAS and witnessed the joyous celebration of young members who have successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Qur’an. In his address, the Respected Amir Sahib emphasized that the completion of Qur’an memorization is a great blessing from Allah and a clear testament to the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (as) as a true servant and follower of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). He further announced that alongside the 28 male graduates, 16 young female memorizers also graduated, bringing the total number of graduants to 44 today. In total, the Male Hafiz class has graduated 396 candidates from inception. Expanding on this, the Amir Sahib noted that the Jama’at now operates 10 Qur’an memorization centers across Nigeria, from which over 600 Huffaaz have so far graduated. The Amir emphasized that the Jama’at will continue to uphold the sunna of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) especially memorisation of the Holy Quran among others. Advising the graduands, the RAS stressed the importance of constant revision to ensure proper retention of what they have memorized. He further encouraged them to go beyond memorization by striving to learn the meaning and application of the Holy Qur’an in their daily lives. Addressing the parents, he urged them to provide continuous guidance and support to their children, helping them preserve their memorization and keeping them away from social vices. In his closing admonition to the graduands, the Respected Amir Sahib advised them to remain prayerful, avoid arrogance, greed, and ego, and to embody humility and righteousness. He prayed that Allah (SWT) grants them a pious lifestyle and the strength to be true ambassadors of the Holy Qur’an. Among the guests at the occasion are Former Amir, Professor Mashood Adenrele Fashola, the Acting Missionary Incharge, Maulvi Syed Ather Mahmood, the General Secretary, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe, the Sadr MAAN, Alhaji Dauda Raji, amongst many others.

Tinubu’s approval of Ahmadiyya university will boost youth development – Muslim group

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria has said the recent approval by President Bola Tinubu of its newly established university will significantly contribute to youth development across the country. Speaking at the opening of the 51st annual Itema held at the NYSC Camp Hall in Ede, the acting national president of the group, Idris Fashina, told journalists that the organisation has been at the forefront of nurturing the younger generation through education. Fashina dismissed claims that crime is on the rise only in Nigeria, noting that such issues are global and often underreported. He emphasised that education remains a key tool in addressing societal unrest and criminality. Related News

BLOOD DONATION: AHMADI YOUTHS KEEP REDEFINING ISLAM

AbdulQadir Olanrewaju The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya) Oyo State continues her welfare service by coming out immensely to mark her first quarter of blood donation exercise for the year 2021 which was held on the 27th March 2021 at the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) Ibadan. Having known as the largest blood donor group, the organization which was led by the State Coordinator, Mr. Muftau Hussein donated a total of 142 pints of blood in aim to keep upholding the “give blood, save lives” mantra as part of her efforts to help people in need and a way of preaching the motto of her community “love for all, hatred for none”. Humanitarian services have been of high regard and integral part of her faith as all kinds of services that promote peace and goodness are what Islam enjoins and what its peaceful teachings detail. The Donors consist of members from her seven branches in ibadan which are Akinyele, Omi Adio, Coca Cola, Ibadan, Apata, Oluyole/Ona Ara and Monatan.
