Amir AMJN Encourages Calabar Members to Deepen Dedication and Seek Allah’s Blessings Through Sacrifice
The Amir (National Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, held a special meeting with officials of the Calabar Circuits on Thursday, 16th October, 2025 as part of his official visit to the State to appreciate their dedication, and inspiring greater commitment to the cause of Islam through the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. In his address, the Respected Amir sahib commended members of the Calabar Circuits for their steadfastness, discipline, and continuous support for the Jama’at’s progress. He reminded them that every challenge faced by believers should serve as a means of strengthening their faith rather than weakening it. Citing the divine assurance, he said: “Inna ḥizb Allāhi humul ghālibūn” — Indeed, the party of Allah shall be victorious. Alhaj Alatoye reiterated that Ahmadiyya represents the renaissance of the true Islamic faith, a movement divinely raised to revive spirituality, restore moral values, and guide Muslims and humanity back to the path of Allah. He explained that while the world continues to await the coming of the Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him), the prophecy has already been fulfilled, and the reformation he initiated continues to flourish through the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Earlier, the Calabar Circuit President, Engr. Musa Kazeem, expressed deep appreciation to the respected Amir and his entourage for their continued support in Tabligh (propagation), education, and welfare activities. He highlighted that the circuit have benefited immensely from the humanitarian efforts of Humanity First, the Jama’at’s global charity arm. He reported that the circuit achieved over 100% participation in contributions toward Minaret University and made notable progress in Tahrik-e-Jadid. He also thanked the Amir for his efforts in facilitating the construction of the Ikom Mosque, describing it as a historic and spiritually uplifting project for the Circuit. Delivering his remarks, Naib Amir (Taleem and Tarbiyyat), Alhaji Abdullateef Folorunso, encouraged members to remain steadfast in prayers, deepen their love for one another, and uphold the Jama’at’s core values of mutual respect, humility, and peaceful coexistence. He emphasized the importance of improving personal tarbiyyat (moral training) and working collectively to bring more souls into the fold of Islam. In his admonition, the Missionary-in-Charge, Maulvi Adnan Tahir, urged members to maintain unity and seek guidance through the proper administrative channels. He advised them to consult their Circuit President and the Central Missionary whenever issues arise and to maintain consistent communication with the headquarters and Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (may Allah be his Helper). Also speaking, Maulvi Abdul Hafeez Akere expressed gratitude to the Amir and his team for the visit. He acknowledged the Amir as the first contributor toward the Ikom Mosque project, an act that inspired many others to donate generously toward its completion. In his closing remarks, the Amir expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the success of the visit. He encouraged the Circuit leadership to maintain early communication with the National Headquarters on matters beyond their capacity not forgetting to always have constant communications to Huzur Aqdas (atba ) to have sure links with the Khalifat. He further appreciated Umar Muzaffar Qayyum for his generous donation toward the Ikom Mosque project on behalf of his grandparents, praying for abundant blessings upon his family. The meeting concluded with prayers for continued unity, peace, and progress of the Jama’at in Calabar, and across Nigeria.
