I received the head of the International Association of Ahmadi Architects and Engineers (IAAAE), Arc. Akram Ahmed and his team on a courtesy visit. The body has its membership drawn from professionals in the fields of Architecture and Engineering from all Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaats across the world.
The delegation briefed me on their latest project, Masroor International Technical College (MITC), Ilaro, which will be formally commissioned soon.
The Institute which is open to male and female students focuses on skills acquisition for training and manpower development in the areas of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Building (Masonry), Plumbing, Computer Maintenance and Repairs, Software Development and Website Design and Electrical Installations.
I hope our youth and artisans take advantage of the additional opportunity for upskilling and certification.
