Nigeria witnessed a joyful, colourful, and spiritually uplifting Handing-Over Ceremony that marked the conclusion of the tenure of the outgoing Sadr, Mr Abdur Roqib Akintunde Akinyemi, and the official commencement of a new administration under Hafiz Abdur Rofeeq Oluwatosin Alaka. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude, emotion, and the warmth of brotherhood, making the event not just a formal transition but a celebration of faith, unity, humility, and the blessings of Khilafat that continue to strengthen MKAN.
The ceremony was graciously chaired by the respected Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria, Alh. Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez Sahib, whose presence added dignity and spiritual depth to the occasion. In his address, Amir Sahib emphasized complete obedience to Allah, adherence to His commandments, and unwavering loyalty to Khilafat. He reminded Khuddam of the importance of according full respect, cooperation, and support to the incoming Sadr, just as was given to the outgoing Sadr. His words set a spiritual tone and underscored that leadership in MKAN is rooted in obedience, sacrifice, and service to the Jamaat.
The farewell address of the outgoing Sadr and the maiden speech of the incoming Sadr were both delivered with humility and deep reflection. The moment of handover between the two administrations was smooth, heartfelt, and symbolized the true essence of Islamic leadership—one defined not by titles but by devotion, sincerity, and a shared commitment to the progress of the Majlis. Their warm embrace and mutual prayers reflected the unity that has long been the hallmark of MKAN.
Remarkably, the transition, like many before it in MKAN, occurred without any form of disagreement or conflict. At a time when leadership changes often bring tension, MKAN demonstrated once again the beauty of Islamic leadership grounded in peace, sincerity, and mutual respect. Every part of the ceremony radiated love and brotherhood, testifying that Allah’s blessings continue to rest upon this noble organisation.
As Hafiz Abdur Rofeeq Oluwatosin Alaka assumes the mantle of leadership, Khuddam across the country look forward with renewed hope and determination. And as Mr Abdur Roqib Akintunde Akinyemi bows out of office, the Majlis celebrates a leader who served with passion, discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty to Khilafat. Leadership ends, but legacy endures, and today MKAN honours both past and future with gratitude.
