
The Amir (National Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alhaji (Barrister) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, alongside other top dignitaries of the Jamaat, attended the 2025 Aminul Qur’an programme, a celebration of excellence in the reading and pronunciation of the Holy Qur’an, organised by the Ibokun Branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Ijesha Circuit, Osun State.
A total of six (6) graduands were celebrated at the event, comprising three (3) males and three (3) females.
The programme, which was the second edition held in recent times, took place at the market arena of Ibokun Township. It attracted notable personalities, including the Baabokun of Ibokun, Oba Festus Kayode Awogboro, as well as Chief Imams from neighbouring towns.
In his admonition, the Amir urged the graduands to engage in daily revision of the Holy Qur’an and to consistently uphold and practice the teachings contained therein. He emphasised that the Holy Qur’an is a sacred book of guidance and a remedy for all forms of challenges faced by humanity.
He further stressed that the Holy Qur’an must always be kept clean and treated with utmost reverence, describing it as a lifelong handbook for every Muslim.
Alhaji Alatoye also used the occasion to reiterate that members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community firmly and solely believe in Almighty Allah alone.
Expressing his delight, Oba Awogboro commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for its remarkable contributions to the development of Ibokun, including the maximum support for the establishment of a modern market, the construction of a new palace, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence within the town.
