The esteemed Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alhaji (Barrister) Alatoye Folorunso Abdul Azeez, presided over the 2nd graduation ceremony of the Mirza Ghulam Qadir Shaheed IT Research Lab and Center (MGQS) Nigeria.
This year, the Center proudly graduated 17 software developers—15 males and 2 females—building on the success of the inaugural cohort, which graduated 11 students. Three graduates presented their projects, including a Health Management System, a Gymnastics Application, and the Konsume Application, designed to assist clients with diet management. Amir and several distinguished guests engaged with the students, asking insightful questions about the real-world applicability of their software.
In his address, the Amir praised the Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Mr. Abdur Roqib Akinyemi, along with the Coordinator of the MGQS Nigeria and his team, for their unwavering dedication and the remarkable progress achieved by the institute. He offered prayers for continued success under the Khuddam leadership.
The Amir provided valuable advice, emphasizing the importance of understanding the commercialization process, encouraging the students to ensure their applications not only serve their clients effectively but also generate revenue. He advised them to remain focused, consistent, prayerful, and professional as they continue to expand their knowledge and skills.
The event was graced by the presence of the respected Missionary in Charge, who recounted the sacrifices made by Mirza Ghulam Qadir, who left a lucrative job to serve the Jama’at.
